When you visit Verizon’s sprawling 135 acre campus located just outside of New York City in New Jersey, originally built by AT&T in the mid-70s, you’ll be struct not by just the architecture and scale but also this little white shuttle rolling around the campus–without a driver.
One of the finishing touches Verizon added to a recently completed upgrade by Gensler, was this autonomous shuttle made by Easy Mile. The shuttle takes corporate guests from the hotel located on the campus to the main building. Civic Entertainment brought me back to manage a retrofitting project of the shuttle. Adding a center console with a product showcase. Like a Verizon store on wheels. Connected with 5G.
